Use the Rulers in Publisher: Video Lesson

This video lesson, titled “Using the Rulers,” shows you how to use the rulers in Publisher. This video lesson on how to use the rulers in Publisher is from our complete Publisher tutorial, titled “Mastering Publisher Made Easy v.2019 and 365.”

Use the Rulers in Publisher: Overview

This lesson shows you how to use the rulers in Publisher. You can use the rulers in Publisher to help you make precise measurements. They can also help you place objects into the publication pages in the desired positions. The rulers in a Publisher publication appear at both the top and left sides of the publication, by default.

You can click and drag the ruler origin point, which is the gray box where the rulers intersect, from the upper-left corner directly into the publication page. Doing this then lets you move the rulers right next to objects onscreen. This helps you to precisely measure and also position the objects in your publication. This also lets you ensure you size the publication’s objects to the exact specifications you need for printing.
