Overview of How to Add a Favorite to Microsoft Edge:

            When you add a favorite to Microsoft Edge, you mark a webpage as a favorite web page by saving it into your “Favorites” list in Microsoft Edge. Doing this lets you easily find and view it again later. To add a favorite web page in Microsoft Edge, open the page on the current tab in Microsoft Edge. Then click the “Add this page to favorites” button, which looks like a star, at the right end of the address bar to open a “Favorite added” pane below the address bar.

            The name of the web page appears in the “Name” field in the “Favorite added” pane. You can change this field’s value, if desired. Then use the “Folder” drop-down to select within which “Favorite” folder to save the link to the web page. Then click the “Done” button to finish adding the favorite link into the selected folder. Alternatively, to remove the favorite link, click the “Remove” button.

            Alternatively, if desired, to create a new “Favorite” folder within which to save the link to better categorize your favorite web pages when using the “Favorite added” pane, click the “More” button in the “Favorite added” pane to open an “Edit favorite” pane. Then click to select the favorite folder within which to create the new favorite folder and click the “New folder” button in the “Edit favorite” pane.

            Then type the name of the new folder into the “New folder” field that appears and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard to save its name and select it. To save the link into the selected favorite folder in the “Edit favorite” pane, click the Save” button at the bottom of the pane.

            To edit or remove a web page you added as a favorite in Microsoft Edge, open the page you saved as a favorite. Then click the “Edit favorite for this page” button, which looks like a filled blue star, at the right end of the address bar to open the “Edit favorite” pane below the address bar. To remove the favorite, click the “Remove” button in the “Edit favorite” pane. Alternatively, to edit the favorite, change its “Name” and/or “Folder” value, as desired, in the “Edit favorite” pane and then click the “Done” button.
