Convert a Quote in Sage 50: Overview

            You can convert a quote in Sage 50 into a sales order, proposal, or a sales invoice. This helps transfer information from the quote after the customer accepts the quote. To convert a quote in Sage 50, select “Tasks| Quotes/Sales Orders/Proposals| Quotes…” from the Menu Bar. Doing this then opens the “Quotes” window.

            In the “Quotes” window, display the quote to convert into either a sales order, proposal, or sales invoice. Then click the “Convert” button in the toolbar of the “Quotes” window to open the “Convert Quote” window. There are four options for converting a quote under the “Convert this Quote to a” section: “Sale/Invoice,” “Sale/Invoice and Print Now,” “Sales Order,” or “Proposal.”

            If you select “Sale/Invoice,” an “Invoice #” field then appears at the bottom of the window. Here, enter the invoice number assigned to this quote. If you select the “Sale/Invoice and Print Now” option, the invoice number is assigned when printed. Alternatively, if you select “Sales Order,”, then enter the sales order number into the “SO #” field that appears. If you select the “Proposal” option, then enter the proposal number into the “Proposal #” field that appears. Then click the “OK” button after selecting the conversion option you want.

Convert a Quote in Sage 50: Instructions

  1. To convert a quote in Sage 50, select “Tasks| Quotes/Sales Orders/Proposals| Quotes…” from the Menu Bar.
  2. In the “Quotes” window, display the quote to convert into either a sales order, proposal, or sales invoice.
  3. Click the “Convert” button in the toolbar of the “Quotes” window to open the “Convert Quote” window.
  4. There are four options for converting a quote under the “Convert this Quote to a” section: “Sale/Invoice,” “Sale/Invoice and Print Now,” “Sales Order,” or “Proposal.”
  5. If you select “Sale/Invoice,” an “Invoice #” field then appears at the bottom of the window. Here, enter the invoice number assigned to this quote.
  6. If you select the “Sale/Invoice and Print Now” option, the invoice number is assigned when printed.
