Forward a Message in Outlook: Overview
When you forward a message in Outlook, you send a copy of a message you received to another recipient. This is a useful way to send email you received to other people. When you forward an email, you send a copy of that email to a new recipient. First, you must select the message you want to forward from the Inbox folder. Then click the “Home” tab in the Ribbon. Then click the “Forward” button in the “Respond” button group.

The forwarded message then appears in the Reading Pane at the right side of the Inbox folder. Type the e-mail address of the recipient of the forwarded message into the “To:” field. Type any additional comments above the text of the original message. Then click the “Send” button to forward the message to another recipient.

- To forward a message in Outlook, select the message to forward from the Inbox folder.
- Then click the “Home” tab in the Ribbon.
- Then click the “Forward” button in the “Respond” button group.
- The forwarded message then appears in the Reading Pane at the right side of the Inbox folder.
- Type the e-mail address of the recipient of the forwarded message into the “To:” field.
- Then type any additional comments above the text of the original message.
- Then click the “Send” button to forward the message to another recipient.
