Video Lesson on How to Do Bullets in Word:

This video lesson, titled “Word 2019 and 365 Tutorial Applying Bullets and Numbering Microsoft Training,” shows how to do bullets in Word. This video lesson is from our complete Word tutorial, titled “Mastering Word Made Easy.”

Overview of How to Add Bullets to Word Documents:

You can quickly do bullets in Word in two different ways. You can automatically apply simple bullets to lists in your documents as you type. Alternatively, you can also type a list, select it, and then manually apply bullets.

How to Automatically Create Bullets as You Type:

To automatically create bullets as you type, type an asterisk (*) at the beginning of the first list item. Then press the “Spacebar” key on your keyboard. The asterisk then turns into a bullet point. Then type the first line of your list. When you press the “Enter” key to move to the next line, Word continues the bulleted list. To stop applying bullets, press the “Enter” key twice in a row after typing the last list item.

How to Manually Apply Bullets:

To manually add bullets, first type the list to bullet. Then select the items in the list. Next, click the “Home” tab in the Ribbon. To apply the last bullet style you used, then click the “Bullets” button in the “Paragraph” button group.

Alternatively, to choose a different bullet style to apply, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the “Bullets” button. Then select the style of bullets to apply from the drop-down menu of choices that appears.
