This feature was first introduced for Office 2016 for Home, Personal, and University users or when you download OneNote from www.onenote.com. Office 2016 business and education customers will receive this feature with the updates starting in June 2016. Video sharing sites that are currently supported include Dailymotion, Office Mix, Sway, Vimeo, Vine, and YouTube. However, Microsoft has plans to introduce more sites in future updates.

To insert online online video in OneNote 2016 from one of these sites and embed it in a page, first copy the video sharing link from the desired video you want to insert from the video sharing site. Then click into the OneNote page at the location at which you want the embedded video to appear. Then click the “Insert” tab in the Ribbon and click the “Online Video” button within the “Media” button group. Paste the link you copied into the “Video address” field within the dialog box that appears and then click the “OK” button to embed the video into the page.
