Post to Multiple Channels in Teams: Overview

            You can post to multiple channels in Teams to share information with multiple teams simultaneously. To post to multiple channels in Teams, click the “New conversation” button on the “Posts” tab in a channel. Then click into the Compose Message box and type the post. Next, click the “Format” button in the Compose Message box. Then click the “Post in multiple channels” link at the top of the expanded Compose Message box.

            Next, click the “Select channels” button that appears at the right end of the “To” field. Then click the channels in the “Choose channels” dialog box to select them. Then click the “Update” button when done selecting. Select who can reply from the “Select a reply option” drop-down at the top of the expanded Compose Message box. Complete your post, as usual, and click the “Send” button.

  1. To post to multiple channels in Teams, click the “New conversation” button on the “Posts” tab in a channel.
  2. Then click into the Compose Message box and type the post.
  3. Next, click the “Format” button in the Compose Message box.
  4. Then click the “Post in multiple channels” link at the top of the expanded Compose Message box.
  5. Next, click the “Select channels” button that appears at the right end of the “To” field.
  6. Then click the channels in the “Choose channels” dialog box to select them.
  7. Then click the “Update” button when done selecting.
  8. Select who can reply from the “Select a reply option” drop-down at the top of the expanded Compose Message box.
  9. Finally, complete your post, as usual, and click the “Send” button.
