Print Contacts in Outlook: Overview

            You can print contacts in Outlook to create a hard copy of your contact list. You can choose to print only selected contacts or the entire Contacts folder. If you want to print only specific contacts, you will need to select the contacts to print by selecting them within the “Contacts” folder, first.

            To print contacts in Outlook, click the “File” tab in the Ribbon and then click the “Print” command at the left side of the Backstage View that appears. You will see a preview of your current printout in the Print Preview area to the right. To set any additional options, click the “Print Options” button to open the “Print” dialog box.

            Within the “Print” dialog box, you can select the “Print style” for the contacts. The “Copies” section lets you select the number of pages and/or copies to print. In the “Print range” section, select either “All items” to print all contacts or “Only selected items” to print only the selected contacts.

            After changing any print settings, click the “Print” button to begin printing immediately. Alternatively, click the “Preview” button to return to the preview shown in the backstage view. In the backstage view, click the “Print” button to print the contacts after previewing the output.

Print Contacts in Outlook: Instructions

  1. To print only specific contacts in Outlook, first choose the contacts to print by selecting them within the “People” folder.
  2. To print contacts in Outlook, click the “File” tab in the Ribbon and then click the “Print” command at the left side of the Backstage View.
  3. You will see a preview of your current printout in the Print Preview area to the right.
  4. To set additional printing options, click the “Print Options” button to open the “Print” dialog box.
  5. Within the “Print” dialog box, select the “Print style” for the contacts.
  6. Then, in the “Copies” section, select the number of pages and/or copies to print.
  7. In the “Print range” section, select either “All items” to print all contacts or “Only selected items” to only print the selected contacts.
  8. To print the list directly from the “Print” dialog box, click the “Print” button.
  9. To view a preview of your list with the changes you made, click the “Preview” button to return to the backstage view.
  10. Then click the “Print” button to print the contacts after previewing the output.
