Recover Deleted Items in Outlook: Overview

            You can recover deleted items in Outlook to restore items accidentally deleted from other Outlook folders. To recover deleted items in Outlook, click the items to restore within the “Deleted Items” folder to select them. To make multiple selections, hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard. Then click all the items to restore to the same folder.

            Then click and drag the selected items onto the desired destination folder within the Folder Pane. To move the items, release the mouse button when the destination folder icon is highlighted in the Folder Pane.

            Alternatively, select the items to restore in the “Deleted Items” folder and then right-click one of them. Then roll over the “Move” command in the pop-up menu that appears. Then choose a folder from the list that appears. If you do not see the folder you want, click “Other Folder” to open a pop-up window which contains all the folders in Outlook. Then choose the folder into which to move the items and then click the “OK” button to restore the items.

  1. To recover deleted items in Outlook, click the items to restore within the “Deleted Items” folder to select them.
