Resend a Message in Outlook: Video Lesson
This video lesson, titled “Resending Messages,” shows how to resend a message in Outlook. This video lesson is from our complete Outlook tutorial, titled “Mastering Outlook Made Easy v.2019 and 365.”
Resend a Message in Outlook: Overview
You can resend a message in Outlook to quickly resend e-mail to a recipient. This is useful when a recipient of an email does not receive the email you sent. Instead of re-creating the entire email, you can simply resend the existing copy. Copies of emails you have sent are kept in your “Sent Items” folder. In order to resend a message in Outlook, you will need to display the “Sent Items” folder. In this folder, double-click the message you want to resend to open it within its own “Message” window.
Then click the “Message” tab in the Ribbon of the “Message” window. Then click the “Actions” button in the “Move” button group. Finally, you then select the “Resend This Message…” command from the drop-down menu that appears.
A new message will then appear and you can edit it, as needed. Then click the “Send” button in the “Message” window to resend the message.
