How to Sort Lists in QuickBooks Online: Video

This video lesson, titled “Sorting Lists,” shows you how to sort lists in QuickBooks Online. This video lesson on sorting lists in QuickBooks Online is from our complete QuickBooks Online tutorial, titled “Mastering QuickBooks Online Made Easy.

Overview of How to Sort Lists in QuickBooks Online:

You can easily sort lists in QuickBooks Online. You can sort lists in either ascending or descending order by column values. To sort lists in QuickBooks Online, click a column heading label in the list. However, not all column headings in lists are clickable.

To find out if a column heading is clickable, hover your mouse pointer over a column heading label. If the mouse pointer icon turns into a pointing hand icon when you hold it over the column heading label, then you can click it to sort by the values within that column label.

Click the column heading label once to sort the list by that column’s values in ascending order. An ascending sort order arranges items in a “1 to 9” or “a to z” order. Click the same column heading label again to sort the list by that column’s values in descending order. A descending sort order arranges items in a “9 to 1” or “z to a” order.
