The Reading List in Microsoft Edge: Overview

When viewing a web page in Microsoft Edge, you can save the web page to the Reading list in Microsoft Edge so that you can read it later when you have more time. To save a web page to the reading list in Microsoft Edge, open the web page you want to save within Microsoft Edge. Note that if you want to save the reading view of a web page, versus the normal web page display, you should enable the reading view of the page by clicking the “Reading view” button at the right end of the address bar before saving it into your reading list.

After you have the display of the page you want to read shown onscreen, click the “Add to favorites or reading list” button, which looks like a star, at the right end of the address bar to open a flyout pane.

Ensure that the “Reading list” button at the top of the flyout pane is shown in blue and underlined to indicate it is selected. If not, click the “Reading list” button at the top of the flyout pane to select it. The name of the web page will be shown in the “Name” field in the drop-down. You can change this field’s value, if desired. Then click the “Add” button at the bottom of the flyout pane to add the page to your reading list.
