Overview
You can turn a file into a tab in Teams after it is uploaded to a channel or chat conversation. Doing this provides quick and easy access to it by team members. To turn a file into a tab in Teams, select the channel or chat conversation. Then click its “Files” tab to view its uploaded files. Then navigate to find the file to show as a tab, if needed, and right-click it. Finally, select the “Make this a tab” command from the pop-up menu that appears.
Alternatively, click the circle to the left of its name to select it. Then click the “Make this this a tab” button in the toolbar above the list of files and folders. The file then appears as a tab in the channel or chat.
To remove a tab you added, click the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the tab name in the channel or chat’s list of tabs. Then select “Remove” from the menu. Then click the “Remove” button to confirm.
