What’s New in QuickBooks Pro 2015: Overview
This blog post discusses what’s new in QuickBooks Pro 2015. QuickBooks Pro 2015 has some new features and leaves most of the existing features intact. Unlike some previous releases, this release does not affect the way you use the program in a significant way. This means that if you are upgrading from QuickBooks 2013 or QuickBooks 2014, you will still be able to perform most tasks in the exact same way. However, there have been some new additions to the program, as well as a few changes to the interface, that you should be aware of if you plan to upgrade to QuickBooks Pro 2015. Below you will find a list of the major changes to the application, followed by another list of the major new features in QuickBooks Pro 2015.

The “Insights” Tab in the “Home” Window
The “Home” window now displays the two tabs: “Home Page” and “Insights.” The “Insights” tab is a customizable page of graphs that provide an overview of your business. You can click between the tabs to show the traditional “Home Page” content or the new “Insights” content.

The “Doc Center”
“Doc Center,” which is used to attach documents to transactions and records in lists and centers, is now a free service. It used to be an online subscription named “QuickBooks Attached Documents.” Existing subscribers can still pay for and use that app, but new subscriptions are no longer offered.

Changes to the Payment Methods in the ”Sales Receipt” and “Receive Payments” Windows
In both the “Sales Receipt” and “Receive Payments” windows, you will find that indicating the method of payment has changed from selecting a choice from a drop-down menu to selecting a button from a button group. If additional information needs to be entered for a selected payment type, such as credit card data or a check number, you can enter it into the drop-down menu that appears when you click the corresponding button for that payment type.
