Course Specifics

Each course includes video lessons that play on your computer, printable instruction manuals and course transcripts that enhance the learning process, practice exercises to complete in your software to reinforce techniques, keyboard shortcuts for easy access, a practice exam with evaluative feedback (find out why your answer was right or wrong), a final exam, and a course certificate of completion. Many CPE courses also qualify for continuing education credit for certain professions (CPAs, Enrolled Agents, and attorneys).

It depends on the course and the individual student. For example, a course that is 10 hours of instructor "talk time" is the length of time it would take to watch each lesson from start to finish without stopping. Unless you are some sort of training rock star, that's probably not very realistic. You set the pace for your training and can go as quickly or as slowly as you like. You can pause, rewind and repeat lessons as often as you want. You can train for an hour a day, several hours at a time or even for two minutes when you need a quick answer to a question. The choice is yours.

No. Our courses will run on your computer even if you don't have the software installed. However, we strongly recommend you have the software so that you can practice after completing the course.

Our software courses run on both PC and Mac. The version of software taught is the PC version. Because the majority of our curriculum is menu-drive, much of the material will be the same. However, there are differences between PC and Mac versions (as well as between desktop and online versions) of software. We encourage you to view the sample lessons on available on each course page to gauge the differences to determine if the course will meet your needs.

For online subscriptions, all that is required is a computer or mobile device with an internet connection, audio and an updated web browser. Digital download products require a minimum screen resolution of 1280x720. DVD-ROM products require a DVD-ROM drive. Our courses work on all versions of Windows and Mac.

Continuing Education

Each course includes an optional cumulative practice exam (multiple choice). The practice exam includes evaluative feedback (telling you why each answer is right or wrong) to further assist with retention of material. Submit your final exam (multiple choice) to us within one year of your order date. Pass with a score of 70% or higher and receive your course certificate of completion.

Individual course pages will note known credentials to which continuing education credit applies.Each governing organization has the final authority in granting continuing education credit to its members. Several TeachUcomp, Inc. courses qualify for continuing education credit.

TeachUcomp, Inc. is registered with the National Association of State Board of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Registration for courses is completed at time of purchase. Access is granted to the course materials immediately after purchase. Registrants have one year from purchase/registration date to complete each registered course.

Online Subscriptions

Offer the most flexibility and affordability. With an online training account, you get access to ALL of our courses (including updates and new releases) during your subscription - for one low price! Your online subscription also allows you to access your training 24 hours a day from anywhere with an internet connection. You can choose a monthly subscription or an annual plan that saves you even more.

Individual Courses

Courses can also be purchased individually via digital download with one year online access included. The download is exactly the same content as online, but is instead downloaded and installed (and restricted) to a single device. The license to use the downloaded product does not expire.

Monthly online subscriptions renew automatically. Annual subscriptions do not.

Monthly online subscriptions renew each month until you cancel. There is no long-term contract and you can cancel at any time. When you cancel, you will have access to your account until the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are not available once a subscription renews.

Yes. Online subscriptions (both monthly and annual) grant you access to our entire course catalogue for one low price - including course updates and new releases for the entire term of your subscription.
