Overview of How to Change Your PIN in Windows 11:

            After creating a PIN, you may want to change your PIN in Windows 11. To change your PIN in Windows 11, right-click the “Start” button in the Windows taskbar to show a pop-up menu of commands. Then click the “Settings” command in the pop-up menu to open the “Settings” app window.

            In the “Settings” app window, click the “Accounts” button at the left side of the app to show the “Accounts” settings to the right. Next, click the “Sign-in options” button at the right side of the screen to display the current account’s sign-in options in the area to the right, under the “Ways to sign-in” title.

            Then click the “PIN (Windows Hello)” section at the right side of the app window to expand it. Then click the “Change PIN” button in the expanded section to open a “Windows Security” dialog box. If needed, to enable letters and symbols in your PIN, check the “Include letters and symbols” checkbox in the dialog box. Then enter your old PIN into the “PIN” field. Then enter your new PIN into both the “New PIN” and “Confirm PIN” fields. Finally, click the “OK” button to confirm the change.

Instructions on How to Change Your PIN in Windows 11:

  1. To change your PIN in Windows 11, right-click the “Start” button in the Windows taskbar to show a pop-up menu of commands.

  6. Then click the “Change PIN” button in the expanded section to open a “Windows Security” dialog box.
  7. If needed, to enable letters and symbols in your PIN, check the “Include letters and symbols” checkbox in the dialog box.
  8. Then enter your old PIN into the “PIN” field.
  9. Then enter your new PIN into both the “New PIN” and “Confirm PIN” fields.
  10. Finally, click the “OK” button to confirm the change.
