Change Item Prices in Sage 50: Overview

You can change item prices in Sage 50 for a range of selected items at once. To change item prices in Sage 50, select “Maintain| Item Prices…” from the Menu Bar. Doing this then opens the “Maintain Item Prices – Filter Selection” window. Then set the desired filters to select the items or range of items for which to adjust the prices. After using the drop-downs to choose the range of items for which to adjust the pricing, click “OK” to open the “Maintain Item Prices” window.

In the “Maintain Item Prices” window, select the price levels for which to recalculate pricing by checking the levels to adjust and unchecking the levels to not adjust in the “Select which price levels to adjust” list in the upper-left corner of the screen. If you uncheck a level, you inactivate (“gray-out”) all item pricing for that level (column) in the pricing section below. This exempts those prices from changing. You can also manually check or uncheck any box in the “Select” column to exempt an item in the list from pricing changes. Doing this then inactivates (“grays-out”) the item’s row in the pricing grid.

After doing this, click the “Recalculate” button in the toolbar at the top of the window to calculate the new pricing. You can also manually enter prices into the “New Price” field, if that is easier. To set the new item prices when you are finished, click the “Save” button.
